The fluvial port of Seville, located in the southwest of Spain, became, from the fifteenth century, with the opening of the Atlantic maritime trade route to America, into the head of overseas trade. Mercantile activity that affected the entire interior of the Guadalquivir River, from the Sevillian capital itself to the town of Sanlitcar de Barrameda, located at its mouth. In this work we will analyze the importance and variety of the Maritime Cultural Heritage that, between the XV and XIX centuries, has been formed on both banks of the mouth associated with American shipping and commerce. An intense commercial activity in which Sanlacar de Barrameda is configured as a supply port for the Spanish fleets of departure and for the ships that made the turning, before going up the river to Seville.
