Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Diagnosis And Treatment

Hepatocellular carcinoma represents a health problem around the world. It is the third leading cause of death related to cancer and it's the sixth most frequent cancer.The coexistence of liver disease, most commonly cirrhosis, in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma makes treatment of this disease a real challenge. That is why multidisciplinary groups should be made in order to get appropriate outcomes for these patients.Recently multiple guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma have been published. This review describes the most important aspects of diagnosis and treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma.
