Aiming at the problem of overlying rock displacement observation system cannot realize real-time and wireless remote transmission, where real-time monitoring system was developed based on GPRS technology. The system is composed of three parts, include displacement sensing device, data acquisition and transmission module and terminal of data receiving and processing. As rock formations move, monitoring points away from fixed points of a certain distance, this information is recorded and converted into corresponding electrical data by angular displacement sensor. These electrical data will be transmitted to a remote terminal by the wireless transmitter module through GSM network, and PC will receive and analyze data through corresponding monitoring software as the terminal. Based on the monitoring data from room 52108 of Yujialiang mine goaf of Shendong company, it gives the varied curve of overlying rock movement in the old goaf and prove that the monitoring equipment with real-time and remoteness, such monitoring technology used in the old goaf has very high practical value.
