摘要
OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether vitamin D deficiency impacts the outcomes of in vitro fertilization and explore whether serum 25(OH)D levels at base- line (groups A and B) or on the day of oocyte retrieval (groups C and D) could predict the pregnancy outcomes following in vitro fertilization (IVF).STUDY DESIGN: According to 25(OH)D levels, the patients (n=307) were divided into 4 groups: Groups A and C, <50 nmol/L; and Groups B and D, >= 50 nmol/L. After treatment, clinical and laboratory indicators were analyzed.RESULTS: No significant differences were found in body mass index, baseline follicle-stimulating hormone, peak estradiol (E-2), oocyte numbers, fertilization rate, good-quality embryo rate, and rates of implantation and clinical pregnancy of fresh transfer cycles, but patients in group A were younger than those in group B. Compared with group D, oocyte numbers and rates of maturation and good-quality embryos in group C were significantly higher.CONCLUSION: 25(OH)D levels were not associated with the clinical pregnancy outcomes following IVF.
