Role of substrate architecture and modelling on photocurrent and photovoltage in TiO2/NiO transparent photovoltaic

摘要
•A novel approach of incident light adjustment to enhance the photocurrent in TiO2/NiO transparent photovoltaic was used.•ITO nanodomes periodic structure was used as a substrate to focus the light over the space charge region.•A significant enhancement in the photocurrent and photovoltage with high optical transparency ~60 % in the Visible-NIR region was observed in ITO nanodomes based device.•Device also demonstrated high responsivity at 0 bias and a high response speed of < 0.5msec
