摘要
•3-Substituted 132,173-cyclopheophorbides were prepared from pyropheophorbides.•Cyclopheophorbides bearing a porphyrin and bacteriochlorin π-system were obtained.•All the cyclized enol products exhibited split and expanded Soret absorption bands.•Qy bands were red-shifted by the 132,173-cyclization via mixed Claisen condensation.•The intramolecular cyclization fully quenched their fluorescence emission.
