Insecticidal, antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of essential oil from Lavandula latifolia L. and its deterrent effects on Euphoria leucographa

•Essential oil was extracted from Lavandula latifolia by hydrodistillation method.•A total of 22 constituents were determined from the hydrodistilled oil.•Essential oil had higher antioxidant activity and was concentration dependent.•Essential oil showed deterrent effects on the pest Euphoria leucographa.•Essential oil is suitable to preserve harvested fruits against fungal infection.
