摘要
•Highly selective CO2 methanation Ni catalysts via microwave assisted sol gel method.•La3+, Pr3+ and La3+, Sm3+ incorporated into the CeO2 increased the O- vacancies.•The presence of La3+, Mg2+ and La3+, Pr3+ into the CeO2 enhanced the basic sites.•Stable Ni nps via a probable genesis of La-O-Ni improved the catalytic performance.
