摘要
•Basalt formations have the potential of mineral trapping for carbon sequestration projects.•Fluid flow in basalt formations is governed by fracture-controlled hydraulic properties.•The feedbacks between fluid dynamics and fluid-rock reactions are studied.•Fracture permeability and fluid mobility decrease due to porosity change from mineralization.•Strong porosity-permeability coupling increase mineralization ratio and leads to a self-sealing system.
