摘要
The effects of nanocomposite-based packaging material (Nano-PM) on respiratory and energy metabolism of postharvest lotus root under vacuum storage conditions and the potential influence mechanism were investigated. The results showed that the CO2 content and respiration intensity in the normal packaging material (Normal-PM) were significantly higher than those in the Nano-PM. In addition, the Nano-PM maintained a higher activity of succinate dehydrogenase and a lower activity of lactic dehydrogenase in lotus root, resulting in less lactic acid and ethanol accumulation. Moreover, the Nano-PM reduced the mitochondrial lipid peroxidation level, maintained the high ATP content and energy charge in lotus root. Furthermore, RNA-sequencing results showed that the Nano-PM could regulate the expression of seven key genes in lotus root respiration metabolism, thus inhibiting the respiration of lotus root during storage. Our results proved that Nano-PM can maintain storage quality of lotus root by regulating the respiration and energy metabolism. Novelty impact statement Nano-PM reduced the mitochondrial lipid peroxidation level, maintained the high ATP content and energy charge in lotus root. Moreover, Nano-PM could regulate the expression of seven key genes in lotus root respiration metabolism, inhibiting its respiration during storage. Nano-PM is important for the preservation of postharvest products.
