摘要
Introduction: To explore prognostic value of HOMA-IR and plasma growth and differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) level in circulating mononuclear cells (MNCs) in patients with non-diabetics dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).Materials and methods: A total of 62 patients with non-DCM and 52 healthy controls were included. Venous blood samples were collected to detecting the levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG) and insulin and HOMA-IR was calculated. The plasma GDF-15 level was measured by ELISA, and the GDF-15 mRNA expression level in the MNCs was measured by RT-PCR.Results: The GDF-15 level in plasma and GDF-15 mRNA level in the MNCs were significantly higher in patients with non-DCM than the healthy controls. HOMA-IR were much higher in NYHA III and IV groups than those in NYHA II group (P<0.01). Plasma GDF-15 levels were significantly higher in NYHA IV group than NYHA II and III groups, and the GDF-15 mRNA level in the MNCs was much higher in NYHA III and IV groups than NYHA II group (P<0.01). The ROC curve analysis showed HOMA, GDF-15, GDF-15 mRNA and NT-proBNP could predict 5-year prognosis. Conclusion: HOMA-IR, plasma GDF-15 level and GDF-15 mRNA level in the MNCs can be used as biomarkers for 5-year prognosis of patients with non-DCM.
