•Permeability radial distribution was restored from the impedance frequency dependence.•Stress relaxation leads to the change in the permeability radial dependence trend.•Oscillations of the trend line may be caused by local permeability perturbations.•Permeability variations may be caused by chemical and local anisotropy features.
