摘要
Background and Aims: Low levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) correlate with multiple myeloma (MM) patients while higher levels of APOA1 correlate with better survival. MM is an incurable hematological neoplasia, that is characterized by malignant plasma cells in bone marrow. Since existing data on the role of the lipoprotein transport system in MM development are very limited here we performed a detailed analysis of the structure and function of lipoproteins from MM patients before and after first-line treatment and in comparison to healthy donors.
