Effect Of Structural Orientation On The Impact Properties Of A Soft/Hard Copper/Brass Laminate

摘要
A novel soft/hard copper/brass laminate was fabricated to explore the effect of structural orientation on its impact property. It was confirmed that the impact energy for vertical orientation was of similar to 55% higher than that for parallel orientation, which was ascribed to the extra delamination of well-bonded copper/brass interfaces. This delamination process was accompanied with dislocation slipping and deformation twinning that consuming high fracture energy.
