Spatiotemporal Expression Of Nine Floral Genes During Flower Differentiation And Development Of Treated Winter Buds Of Grapevine In Growing Season

In this research, the quantitative real-time RT-PCR was employed to analyze the expression of nine important floral genes in grapevine cv. 'Fujiminori', i.e. Vitis vinifera AGAMOUS (VvAG), Vitis vinifera APETALA 3 (VvAP3), Vitis vinifera FLOWERING LOCUS C (VvFLC), Vitis vinifera FRUITFUL (VvFUL), Vitis vinifera FLOWERING LOCUS T (VvFT), Vitis vinifera APETALA2 (VvAP2), Vitis vinifera SUPPRESSOR OF OVER EXPRESSION OF CO 1 (VvSOC1), Vitis vinifera APETALA1 (VvAP1) and Vitis vinifera LEAFY(VvLFY). The result showed that after three times' treatments of shoots cut back, the first, second treatments and the control could not initiate flower bud differentiation, but the third could form floral bud and inflorescence as usual. There were differences between the expression patterns of the nine genes in treatments and control, and the expression of the genes in treated bud and shoot samples was basically same as that of their homologous genes in model plants. This work can provide theoretical information for further understanding of the molecular mechanism of flower development in grapevine, for the utilization of the related genes in genetic engineering, and for some positive control on their expression.
