Synchronization On Time-Varying Networks

Synchronization of coupled oscillators on networks has been investigated in a wide range of topologies. In this paper, by introducing our modified activity-driven synchronization model, we studythe synchronization process on networks generated by the time-scale separation technique. It is shown that the number of links induced by every active node at each time step plays an important role in the synchronization of time-varying networks while makes no influence on the integrated networks. Our findings indicate that, rather than the coupling strength, the mechanism of generating process and the node activity rate dominate the synchronization process on activity-driven and time-varying networks.
