Synthesis And Characterization Of Novel Ferrocenyl Alpha-Aminophosphonic Esters

A series of alpha-aminophosphonates bearing the ferrocenyl moiety were obtained by the addition of diethyl phosphite to an azomethine bond of Schiff bases. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR and P-31 NMR spectra. X-ray crystallography of 3h reveals that it belongs to triclinic system P-1 space group, with a=0.9728 nm, b=1.1056 nm, c=1.3713 nm, alpha=108.445(2)degrees, beta = 98.649(2)degrees, gamma=104.890(2)degrees, final R=0.049, wR=0.1152.
