摘要
Experimental data on correlations of particles produced in high energy collisions of various particles and nuclei are presented and their theoretical implications are discussed with a special emphasis on a scaling law observed for fluctuations of the number of secondaries in small rapidity bins. The notions of intermittency and fractality as related to the above findings are described. Several analogous phenomena in physics provide further insight into possible dynamical origin of fluctuations.
