TORCH is an acronym used for a series of pathogenic agents which if infect the unimmunized pregnant women can determinate by trans-placental transmission worsted fetal lesions. The pathogen viruses from this complex are: Toxoplasmosis, Other (Parvovirus B19, Varicella and Zoster virus infection, Syphilis, Hepatitis B), Rubella virus, Cytomegalovirus and Herpes Simplex virus. In order to prevent the occurrence of the fetal appearance with TORCH gents many screening strategies have been implemented which select the pregnant women with risk. The ultrasound signs of fetal affection differ concerning the infectious agent and gestational age at the time of the infection. Having in the view that sometimes the signs of the infected pregnant women go unnoticed being unspecified and the fetal infection have been place before the establishment of a serological diagnostic, the recognizing of the ultrasound fetal signs of infection become very important for the identification of the cases which necessitate treatment. In the present review, we discuss the main ultrasound fetal signs which can appear in the context of the TORCH infection in pregnancy.
