Simulation And Analysis Of Current Distribution In 500kv Substations

In order to take advantages of margin of the switch devices in 500kV substations and raise the capacity of the power transmission line, circuit model of main wiring connections of 500kV Huangdu substation is made and simulated by PSCAD software. Comparing with actual measurement of Huangdu substation, PSCAD simulation model is precise and actual. Current distribution in 500kV substations is then analyzed under normal and N-1 operation conditions. Conclusions of operations of 500kV substation are made.
