History Of Distilleries In Bohemia - Historical Overview Until 1956

The presented work deals with the development of cooperative distilleries in Bohemia from the earliest period to 1956. It is divided into two parts, from the earliest period to 1918 and from 1919 to 1956. Even before the First World War, this sector was very well developed in the monitored area. The First World War meant a significant limitation to further development and reconstruction took quite a long time. However, later on, the industry developed very dynamically and the years 1934-1938 can be seen as the peak period. There is very little information from the Second World War and the post-1945 period. The year 1952, when the distilleries were nationalized, can be considered a turning point in their development.
