The Track And Distribution Dynamics Of Urban Development In China

Resource endowments, historical and cultural difference have in the different cities, leading to the urbanization development present differentially. However, due to the convergence in geo-spatial or development policy etc, the different cities also have the almost similar changes. How to give a clear distinction? We learn from the methodology of Chenery on the process of the structural transformation, to decomposition of urbanization change in the samples of 48 cities. The data analysis basing on the statistical data of China cities from 1988 to 2008 indicates that, the urbanization change shows the eight categories of features such as the low-stable, low volatility type, intermediate stable, middle wave type, intermediate sustained, high stable, high volatility and high persistent. At the same time, we have come the urbanization change in China's overall is showing the binomial model. On the basis, the use of Markov random process theory examines distribution dynamic of China's urban economic growth from 1988 to 2008.
