Intraparenchymal Epithelioid Malignant Mesothelioma: A Case Report

There are very few cases of malignant mesothelioma (MM) presenting as interstitial lung disease (ILD) reported in the literature, and distinguishing this rare subtype of MM from nonmalignant etiologies is crucial to avoid misdiagnosis and delayed treatment. Here we describe a case of ground glass opacities (GGO) identified on radiological imaging that were biopsy proven to represent epithelioid MM.
