摘要
One of the prospective signals to assist in the acquisition and examination of heart rate variability (HRV) is the photoplethysmographic (PPG) time series. Poincaré method has been applied to HRV analysis in a patient with diabetes and chronic renal failure (CRF). Our study develops the Multiscale Poincaré (MSP), an easier method for computation to assess diabetes. We selected subjects and divided them into three groups, including the non-diabetes (HbA1c ≤6.5%, n=18), diabetes with good control (6.5% < HbA1c < 8%, n=16), and diabetes without good control (HbA1c ≥ 8%, n=18). MSP used successive 1000 data points of PPG pulse amplitudes from each subject's right index fingertip. This method resulted in the standard deviation of the original PPG pulse amplitude (SD1), the standard deviation of the interval 1 PPG pulse amplitude (SD2) and SSR (SD1 and SD2 ratio) in small scale (1–5) and large scale (6–10). The average of SSR in large scale in the three groups of healthy subjects, well control diabetes and poorly control diabetes was 0.47±0.08, 0.37±0.13, and 0.29±0.10, respectively and contrasted between groups (P < 0.05). In conclusion, we suggested that the MSP plots of right-hand PPG pulse amplitude may be conveni ent to appraise diabetes.
