Clastic deposit basins not only have character of stratum, but also have special of gyration, which is the periodic repeat of sediment event. It is a matter register of sediment event in certain time sequence. General method of gyration analysis is used log data and information from artesian well to plot out geologic interface and character of gyration. Some people think that, kinematic character and kinetic character of seismic wave field have enough information. Using time-frequency analysis tool to distill attribute parameter to analysis geologic layer is a new method in recent years.In this paper the fundamental theory of S transform is studied, then the S transform program of seismic signal as well as time-frequency spectrum show program and attribute parameter extraction program are finished in the help of C language. Authors make some geologic sediment gyration models based on the actual characters of geology and completed positive account. Then some analysis of gyration for synthesizing seismic signals and practical signals is made. The result indicated that the method of seismic signal S transform is fight, it has high utility value.
