Natural Interaction In Medical Training Tools And Applications Conclusions

In this short book we have presented two prototype systems based on Virtual Reality and Natural Interaction born from a collaboration with doctors and professionals in the healthcare sector. Strong requirements by medical staff were the implementation ofmultimedia systems that could reduce training costs, facilitate task execution through automated procedures, reduce instrumentation and systems setup time and, above all, to improve trainee learning both in terms of refining individual skills and team collaboration. To these ends the BLSD-S and SSC-S were created.
