摘要
Objective: To investigate the expression levels and correlation of interleukin- 17 (IL-17), epidermal growth factor (EGF), fibroblast growth factor (FGF) and matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) in the aqueous humor and serum of patients with cataract. Methods: Sixty patients (60 eyes) with cataract were randomly selected as the observation group from March 2016 to May 2017, and 60 healthy subjects who underwent physical examination in our hospital at the same time were selected as the control group. The levels of IL-17, EGF, FGF and MMP-2 were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The level of malondialdehvde (MDA) was measured by the thiobarbituric acid method. Nitric oxide (NO) levels were determined by the nitrate reductase method. The activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) was detected by the enzyme-rate method. The correlation of serum IL-17, EGF, FGF, MMP-2, MDA, SOD and NO in the serum and aqueous humor of patients with cataract was analyzed. Results: Compared with the control group, the level of IL-17, EGF, FGF and MMP-2 in the aqueous humor of the observation group was significantly increased, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Moreover, compared with the control group, the levels of IL-17, EGF, FGF and MMP-2 in serum of the observation group was remarkably increased, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The level of MDA and NO in the aqueous humor of the observation group was markedly higher than that of the control group, and the level of SOD was significantly lower than that of the control group with the difference being statistically significant (P<0.05). The level of MDA and NO in the serum of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the level of SOD was remarkably lower than that of the control group with the difference being statistically significant (P<0.05). The Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between IL-17 and EGF, FGF, MMP-2, MDA, SOD and NO concentrations in the aqueous humor of the observation group (P<0.05). The level of IL-17 in serum was positively correlated with the levels of EGF, FGF, MMP-2, MDA, SOD and NO (P<0.05).Conclusion: The levels of IL-17, EGF, FGF, MMP-2, MDA and NO in the serum and aqueous humor of cataract patients was significantly higher than that of normal subjects, and the level of SOD was lower than that of normal subjects. The expression has a certain correlation and is closely related to the occurrence and development of the cataract.
