2d-Doa Estimation In Monostatic Mimo Radar Using L-Shaped Array And Propagator Method

In this paper, we consider propagator method (PM) for 2-dimensional direction of arrival (2D-DOA) estimation based on L-shaped array in monostatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar. The proposed algorithm does not require any eigen-value decomposition of the cross correlation matrix and singular value decomposition of the received data and has very close estimation performance to estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques (ESPRIT) algorithm in the high signal to noise ratio (SNR) situation, which has much higher complexity than our algorithm. Our algorithm can estimate azimuth and elevation angles without additional pair matching in monostatic MIMO radar. Cramer-Rao Bound (CRB) of angle estimation is derived. Simulation results verify the usefulness of our algorithm.
