Designing Human-Centered Ai Products

Enthusiasm for how AI can benefit students and educators continues to grow, but what are the unique design considerations for building products that use AI? This workshop will equip participants with exercises to use with their teams to build AI products that are grounded in human needs and avoid common AI design pitfalls. The Google People + AI Research and Engineering Education team will share insights from the People + AI Research Guidebook, a new resource that has steered design and development at Google over the past year. Through recommendations, frameworks, and examples, attendees will learn how to assess whether a problem is a good fit for machine learning, collect representative training data, and help users understand how to interact with AI systems.
