摘要
Abstract The degradation of organic and inorganic contaminants in the presence of visible light from the wastewater by photocatalysis is considered as best potential technique to treat the wastewater and is advantageous compared with conventional wastewater treatment technology in terms of cost saving and time. Different types of semiconductor photocatalysts of suitable bandgap energies have been reported, but their limited photocatalytic activity and difficulty in recovery restrict their practical application. Thus, different supporting materials have been investigated to enhance photocatalysis efficiency. Polymers embedded with nanomaterial are used at large scale because of lightweight characteristic of polymer along with easy processability and simple fabrication and is highly researched area in the field of nanoscience. The pH, temperature, and recyclability are some important factors that need to be considered for industrial application. The chapter also explain the performance using polymer nanocomposite as photocatalytic for treatment of wastewater.
