In this contribution we compare the performance of different types of fibre Bragg grating filters, namely the unchirped grating with negative-only index change and the simple and sampled chirped ones, acting simultaneously as multiwavelength demultiplexers and group velocity dispersion compensators, in dense wavelength division multiplexing systems.
