Phenanthroline bridging graphitic carbon nitride framework and Fe (II) ions to promote transfer of photogenerated electrons for selective photocatalytic reduction of Nitrophenols

摘要
•Fe (II) was modified on the g-C3N4 via the bridging effect of phenanthroline unit.•The P-CN-8-Fe presented enhanced VLD photocatalytic activity for p-NP reduction.•The P-CN-8-Fe exhibited high stability and catalytic durability.•The P-CN-8-Fe showed excellent activity for other NPs and nitrobenzene reduction.•A possible mechanism was proposed based on the band structure.
