摘要
•Boys experience an increased sweat rate while increasing exercise intensity by recruiting a higher number of sweat glands, but they do not experience an increase in glandular output during cycling heterogeneously among skin sites.•Compared with young men, sweat rate is attenuated concurrent with a lower glandular output in boys in which the response modulated by exercise intensity and skin sites.•Exercise intensity does not appear to modulate cutaneous blood flow in boys, but skin region does.
