摘要
•Glycolipid levels differ between bipolar disorder (BD) and healthy control (HC).•BD patients performed worse than HCs in most domains of cognitive function.•Elevated triacylglycerol and glucose were associated with cognitive dysfunction in BD.•High-density lipoprotein has a protective effect in cognition of HC, but not in BD.•Improving glycolipid metabolism may aid patients' functional recovery in BD.
