Our results suggested that the image-distinct LANSCLC subpopulations had differential response to CCRT. The image-based machine learning framework proposed herein is the promising opportunity to use medical images to individualize CCRT scheme. The integrated radiomic descriptors of pulmonary tumors and lungs indicated that low-risk patients might benefit more from CCRT and consolidation immunotherapy, possibly with the support of healthier pulmonary status.
