Biliary infection; distribution of species and antibiogram study

•Distribution of bacterial species in biliary infection has not obviously changed in recent decades.•Relative resistance of biliary germ to current advised antibiotic is flashed.•Aminoglycoside more widely covers biliary germ than cephalosporin does in selected patient.•Revision of current antibiotic guide for biliary infection to prevent antibiotic resistance is needed.
