Excited-State Properties of (Alkynyl)Gold(I) Fluorenyls

摘要
Static and ultrafast optical characterization of gold(I) alkynyls having 2,7-disubstituted fluorenyl moieties are described herein. Capping phosphine or N-heterocyclic carbene ligands on Au control rates of radiative and nonradiative decay, and of intersystem crossing. Density-functional theory calculations indicate that luminescence originates from the alkynyl ligands.
