Applying Gaussian Mixture Models to Detect Fish from Airborne LiDAR Measurements

Airborne LiDAR has been used to monitor marine life and ecological health. However, manually searching the data for important features is an inefficient process. Here, we use Gaussian Mixture Models and supervised classification techniques to automatically detect fish in airborne LiDAR data.
