•ED visits for opioid overdose are increasing across the country, particularly among racial and ethnic minorities•Post-overdose ED interventions include take-home naloxone, behavioral counseling, and referral to treatment•Black Non-Latinx ED patients were found to have lower odds of receiving behavioral counseling•No race-ethnicity inequities were observed in provision of take-home naloxone or referral to treatment after an ED visit for opioid overdose
