Patient-reported safety and tolerability of the COVID-19 vaccines in persons with rare neuroimmunological diseases

•The safety profile of the COVID-19 vaccines in NMOSD and MOGAD is currently uncertain.•We conducted an anonymous survey to characterize these issues.•The rate of adverse events was similar to that reported in the general population.•New or worsening neurological symptoms were not frequent and mostly self-limited.•The overall safety profile of the COVID-19 vaccines in this population seems favorable.
