Adjuvant radiotherapy for atypical meningiomas is associated with improved progression free survival

•43 patients with atypical meningiomas underwent either radiotherapy post-resection or surgery alone.•Median PFS time was 22 months longer in the surgery + ART a group compared to the surgery alone group.•ART post-surgical resection is associated with improved PFS rates in atypical meningioma patients compared to surgery alone.
