Ensemble learning using transponder telemetry to minimize the maximum absolute error (MAE) of the OSNR monitoring is studied. Trained model reduces the MAE to 2.08 dB which is 10 dB smaller than commercial DSP estimates. (c) 2021 The Author(s)
