A systematic review and psychometric evaluation of self-report measures for hoarding disorder

•We evaluated the psychometric properties of hoarding measures.•The Saving Inventory-Revised had the strongest psychometric properties.•Overall, methodological quality of psychometric investigations was suboptimal.•More work is needed to improve hoarding measures and how they are validated.
