A randomized, multicenter, crossover psychometric evaluation study of an iPad-administered cognitive test battery in participants with major depressive disorder who responded to treatment with oral antidepressants

•Cognitive impairment in MDD impedes functional recovery.•ReVeRe.D, an iPad-administered cognitive test battery is developed for MDD.•ReVeRe.D tests showed concurrent validity with comparator examiner tests in adult MDD patients who had responded to treatment with oral antidepressant.•Concurrent validity of ReVeRe.D tests improved after second administration.•Test-retest reliability of ReVeRe.D tests was moderate to high.
