Depressive symptom trajectories and their relation to body mass index in women of child-bearing age: The Korea Nurses’ Health Study

•6,918 women investigated to determine depressive symptom sub-trajectory groups.•Growth mixture model identified latent depressive symptom trajectory groups.•Three depressive symptom trajectory classes determined based on level of symptoms.•Influencing factors of latent classes were age, marital status and shift work.•There was a significant difference between mean BMIs between the latent classes.
