•Opioid-acting peptides were quantified in infant biscuit (IB) digests by UPLC/HR-MS.•IB digests contained β-casomorphin 7 from casein and exorphins A4 and A5 from gluten.•Implementation of infant-tailored digestion protocols is needed to reinforce these findings.
