Are baseline mammographic and ultrasound features associated with metastasis free survival in women receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy for invasive breast cancer?

•Tumour associated mammographic calcification is associated with poor MFS in women receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy.•US detected distal shadowing and skin thickening are associated with poor MFS in women recieving neoadjuvant chemotherapy.•Mammographic spiculation, US size and stiffness at shearwave elastography were not associated with metastasis free survival.
