Recent advances in electrochemical enzymatic biosensors based on regular nanostructured materials

•Nanomaterials with regular nanostructures are arousing huge interest in enzymatic biosensor.•Precise control for obtaining regular nanostructures is always a challenge to the biosensor fabrication.•Advantages and disadvantages of recent control methods for various nanomaterials are compared and discussed.•Effects of regular-nanostructures on electrochemical biosensing performance are concluded.•This review will provide a novel inspiration on the biosensor design with general performance enhancement.
