The competition between solvent–solvent and solute–solvent act on the nucleation process of 4-(methylsulfonyl)benzaldehyde

Based on the nucleation kinetics of 4-(Methylsulfonyl)benzaldehyde in different solvents obtained by induction time method, the effects of different solvents on the nucleation rate of 4-(Methylsulfonyl)benzaldehyde were explored by the combination of solution chemistry and molecular simulation, which reveals that the competition between solute–solvent interaction and solvent–solvent interaction play an important role in the nucleation process.
