Ischiorectal fossa metastasis from colon cancer: Case report of a rare entity and review of literature

•Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignancies worldwide.•Colorectal cancer has a tendency to metastasize to certain locations like local lymph nodes, liver and lungs.•However, the ischiorectal fossa is an extremely rare location for metastatic tumors with vast majority being benign tumors.•The ischiorectal fossa hasn't been reported before to be one of the sites of colon cancer metastasis.•The exact pathway of metastasis to the ischiorectal fossa remains unknown.
